I'm going to discuss the use and ideas behind the title sequences of our thriller opening. The title of the thriller is 'Blood Thirst' hence the reason why in our opening titles we used red coloured font due the the colour red being associated with blood (connotation). The font colour can also be associated with killing and evil presence, which matches the genre of the film opening as a thriller mystery. The font style was used considering its relation to human style handwriting and as it's in the colour red it could be inferred that a killer could be writing the titles with their victims blood. Below are some examples of the red font in use.
For the main film title has a black background, to represent the darkness in the heart of the killer and the white font represents the purity and vulnerability of the rest of the world. We chose the certain font as it felt to be the most dynamic and vicious, which easily describes the nature of the two killers working together.
